You asked for what I think is the best value. First, the only ones I have tried are Makers Mark and Weller Special Reserve. Second a value to me is that I can buy it again and again repeatedly. So that only left Makers for me. I do prefer Makers over Weller, but I do enjoy Wellers SR. I also have Weller 107, and several Makers 46 exspressions.

I put in Old Fitz 7 instead. Both are HH and figured the OF7 would be more popular.
OF7 is extremely hard to come by. I’ve only found it in a store once in the past 5 years.
If the Weller could be found at MSRP, then yes but there are serious secondary market markups making it not of value.

Weller special reserve is tasty smooth. I like it with on the rock.
