1. Retail Experience Relocated (April 22)
As part of ongoing restoration, Buffalo Trace Distillery moved its limited retail experience to the second floor of the Visitors Center starting Tuesday, April 22. This shift also allowed regular guest check-ins to resume inside the Freehouse building, creating a smoother and more comfortable experience. Guests now have access to expanded retail and tasting options as part of the modified visit.
2. Limited Access & Reservation Requirements
While the visitor experience has partially resumed, access is still restricted to the Visitors Center only. No walk-up retail or tour options are currently available. To visit, guests must make advance reservations at reservations.buffalotracedistillery.com, ensuring manageable capacity while restoration efforts continue throughout the property.
3. Temporary Closure on April 28
To prepare for the busy Derby Week, the Distillery will close for one day on Monday, April 28. This brief closure will allow the team to expand retail operations into the first floor of the Visitors Center, aiming to accommodate the expected increase in guests and enhance the overall visitor experience.

Will the Blantons Derby bottles be available to purchase, thank you and stay safe
