Buffalo Trace Distillery announced Eagle Rare 30 as the oldest age stated bourbon ever released under the Eagle Rare label.
Eagle Rare 30 is aged 30 years and bottled at 101 proof.
The bourbon was matured in Warehouse P which is used for long term experimental aging.
Tasting notes reported by the distillery include cherry caramel honey tobacco and stone fruit.
The bottle is presented in a collector decanter with decorative eagle wings and an internal glass sculpture.
Production is extremely limited.
The first two bottles will be sold through a Bonhams auction together with a complete Eagle Rare collection and a private Buffalo Trace experience.
The suggested retail price is 12500 dollars.
