Father’s Day Weekend Bottle Drop Announced at Buffalo Trace Distillery

Buffalo Trace Distillery has announced its special Father’s Day Weekend bottle releases, giving visitors two opportunities to purchase limited bottles during the holiday weekend.

According to the announcement, the Father’s Day Weekend Bottle Drop schedule includes:

Saturday, June 20

  • Weller C.Y.P.B.

Sunday, June 21 (Father’s Day)

  • Blanton’s 375 mL

The distillery also noted that no other bottle drops are planned for Father’s Day weekend. As with previous special releases, quantities will be limited and bottles will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

For bourbon fans, the appearance of Weller C.Y.P.B. is particularly noteworthy. The bottle, whose name stands for “Craft Your Perfect Bourbon,” was created after Buffalo Trace asked whiskey enthusiasts to vote on their ideal bourbon recipe and aging profile. It remains one of the more sought-after bottles in the Weller lineup and is rarely available at retail prices.

The Father’s Day Blanton’s release will feature the 375 mL format rather than the standard 750 mL bottle. While smaller in size, the bottle still gives collectors and visitors a chance to purchase one of Buffalo Trace’s most recognizable single barrel bourbons directly from the distillery.

What This Means

The announcement is notable because Buffalo Trace specifically stated that no additional bottle drops are planned for the weekend. In recent years, special holiday weekends have often generated speculation about surprise releases or multiple allocated offerings. This announcement appears intended to set expectations and encourage visitors to plan around the two scheduled releases.

As always, availability is expected to be limited. Visitors interested in purchasing either bottle should plan to arrive early, as special releases at the distillery can sell out quickly.

Buffalo Trace Daily will continue tracking distillery releases and provide updates if any changes are announced leading up to Father’s Day weekend.
