Buffalo Trace Distillery released Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Four Grain on the morning of August 4, making it the first special release of August and it sold out quickly.
The release follows a busy July that featured seven special releases after Buffalo Trace paused any announced drops to address parking and traffic concerns.
In our Buffalo Trace Daily August Special Release Odds, we had August 4 as one of the highest probability dates of the month, and today’s Four Grain release validated that prediction.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, our timing model gives low odds because the gap since today’s release is shorter than the historical average between special releases. However, we have August 5 rated higher than the timing model alone because it is Elmer T. Lee’s birthday, making it a date worth watching.
