BUFFALO TRACE DAILY POLL
How Much Would You Pay for Blanton’s?
You walk into your local liquor store and see a bottle of Blanton’s sitting on the shelf. What’s the most you’d be willing to pay for it?
NEW DISTILLERY PRICE
$82.99
Buffalo Trace recently increased the price of Blanton’s to $82.99 at the distillery. With the bottle now the highest priced daily allocated bourbon at the distillery, we want to know how much bourbon drinkers are actually willing to pay when they find Blanton’s at their local liquor store.
What’s the most you would pay?

Some bottles drink way better than others
If only **some** bottles are good, then the price should reflect that.
Got my bottle tops, I’m done
It’s good but not that good
Not worth $80 per bottle. Eagle Rare 10yr and Buffalo Trace a much better pour at lower price.
$100 for gold or sftb
Will never pay more than 75…..lot more options at that price point….82.99 is not a deal…..they increased production should be at same price or cheaper….its on shelves at 100 to 120 in new I diana for a reason
It makes no sense to me that we cannot buy it locally (Louisville) and I have to drive to Frankfort to (maybe) get it and now with this steep price makes it unlikely that I will drink it again! Too bad, it’s one of my favorites!
Blantons is a fantastic 65 dollar pour, it’s an OK 80 dollar pour it’s a terrible 80+ dollar pour.
I dont like the new price. I like the bourbon, I have purchased 8 bottles and 4 are still unopened, so I have all the horses. I may not have the taste buds some other bourbon drinkers have, but I do know what I like. But when a bottle hits $80 or more, I seriosly have to think it over. I cant taste a major differance between Blantons and Benchmark that makes me turn up my nose at Benchmark and pay $62 more. Dont get me wrong I like Blantons, Buffalo Trace and Eagle. I just feel this increase is unjustified. Unless I am wrong, but I think the prction cost to fill one barrel of any of the bourbons is almost equal accross the board. The only variance should be in the mash ingredients. Now the taxes will affect the cost per bottle, I understand . But with a $62 difference between Blantons and Benchmark Bonded for bourbon aged 2 to 4 years longer, come on.
