Bourbon fans have a shot at some seriously hard-to-find bottles in a new Kentucky charity raffle.
Give 270’s Bourbon Raffles Serial No. 015 features 25 whiskey prizes, headlined by an E.H. Taylor Warehouse C Tornado Surviving bottle signed by Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley.
The rare release has quite a history. In 2006, a tornado damaged Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Warehouse C, leaving barrels exposed to the elements while repairs were made. Buffalo Trace later bottled bourbon from 93 surviving barrels as E.H. Taylor Jr. Warehouse C Tornado Surviving Bourbon.
The other grand prizes are a six-bottle Weller “Rainbow” Vertical and an eight-bottle set of Blanton’s Original Single Barrel.
The bonus prizes are impressive, too. They include George T. Stagg, E.H. Taylor Four Grain, E.H. Taylor Cured Oak, Weller Single Barrel, Weller C.Y.P.B., Eagle Rare 12 Year, Stagg and Buffalo Trace Give 270 Sazerac Barrel Select bottles.
Only 1,000 Tickets Available
The raffle is limited to 1,000 tickets at $100 each. Tickets are available through 7 p.m. ET on October 7, with winners drawn live on YouTube at 8 p.m. ET that evening.
Proceeds benefit Refuge for Women Kentucky, which provides emergency housing and long-term care for women who have escaped sex trafficking or sexual exploitation.
For Buffalo Trace fans, this is a chance at bottles you’re unlikely to encounter on an ordinary distillery visit while supporting a Kentucky nonprofit.
